The family will hold a memorial service Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 1:00 PM, at 1547 Yatesville Highway, Thomaston, GA 30286. All family, friends, and acquaintances are invited to attend.
Ms. Parkerson was born January 2, 1942, in Thomaston, the daughter of the late G. W. Parkerson and the late Chessie Mae Parkerson. She was employed as a nursing assistant with Clear View Nursing Home. Later, she was employed with Roosevelt Rehab Center for 10 plus years until her retirement. Ms. Parkerson is survived by her sons, Eric Glenn Helms of Thomaston; Gary Brian (Cassie Mcleskey) Helms of Barnesville; and Craig (Alisa) Helms of Thomaston; her grandchildren, Jodi Helms, Kasey Helms, Tristen Helms, Briana Helms, Michelle McLeskey, A.J. Salter, Jeremy Helms, Austen Helms, and Laykin Helms, and her thirteen great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 886 Mulberry Street, Macon, GA 31201. Fletcher-Day Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
