Ms. Morris was born on July 8th, 1933 in Franklin, Georgia to Alice Bentley and step-father Jeff Britt. She is preceded in death by her parents, infant son Ferrell, grandparents Mary Elizabeth and John Bentley, and husband of many years upon his passing Mr. Homer Day. Also including her fur babies Mercy and Pebbles.
Frances lived previously in Jackson, Georgia and worked at kym company for 40 years. She enjoyed cooking, watching her stories, going out to eat, gardening her beautiful azaleas, shopping and yard sales, but mostly loved spending time with her family. Frances was a loving and an extremely loved mother to her daughter Glenda Day. Ms. Morris was a social butterfly and made many friends everywhere she went with her fiesty and humorous personality that made everyone laugh til the end! She was loved quickly by people that met her and will be greatly missed by many.
Frances is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Steven Cherry of Thomaston, her daughter who she loved so dearly Glenda Day, her grandchildren who she adored and lovingly knew her as Maw Maw, Victoria Gilbert (Dixie), Michael Sporleader, Daniel Cochran (Jessica), Dana Cochran (Michael Brodzik) and Joshua Day. Great-grandchildren include Alissa Gilbert Lynch (DeVante Lynch) and Breanna Bishop. Beautiful great-great-grandchildren include Jordan Swint, Aubrey and Audrey Lynch. Her sister and brother in law are Peggy and John Bolotin.
A visitation will be held for Ms. Morris on Saturday January 7, 2023 at Coggins Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
