Mr. Adams was born on April 19, 1928, in Upson County to the late Edgar Brown Adams and the late Florence Wilson Adams. He served his country in the U.S. Army Air Force in Japan, Guam and the Philippines. Mr. Adams was a 1952 graduate of Gordon Military College, then went on to work for Orkin for many years. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Hamlett Adams.
Survivors include his daughters, Terri Anderson of Thomaston, Bonnie (Kim) Watkins of Zebulon, Lisa (Mike) Hammond of Fayetteville, son, Brad (Christy) Adams of Thomaston, sisters, Bobbie Sandefur of Thomaston, Essie Sims of Riverdale, grandchildren, Caley (Dylan) Pitts, Eric Anderson, Alicia Anderson, Austin Adams, Anna Adams, Claire Watkins, Reece Watkins, Cole Watkins, Sarah Hammond, Rachel Hammond, great-grandchild, J.J. Hong, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. from The Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Crystal Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 15, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.
