Mrs. Jones was born on June 4, 1929, in Lamar County, to the late Mahlon Campbell and the late Mattie Mae Scarborough Campbell. She worked as a seamstress at the William Carter Company and was a member of Silvertown United Methodist Church. Her favorite saying to her grandchildren was "Love You All The Money". In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Marvin Lee Jones, brother, Bo Campbell, and granddaughter, Kelli Deanne Jones.
Survivors include her son, Danny Jones of Thomaston, granddaughter, Marnie Parrish of Thomaston, great-grandchildren, Zack (Shayla) Baggett of Thomaston, Trent Parrish of Thomaston, great-great-grandchildren, Matthew, Peter, Hosanna Baggett all of Thomaston, special nephew, Larry (Debbie) Campbell, and cousins, Mary Frances and Bobby Blackmon.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Crystal Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 15, 2023, from 1:00 p.m.- 2:00 p.m. from Coggins Funeral Home.
