Mrs. Lewis was born January 31, 1945, in Pike County, Georgia to the late Edgar Evans and the late Lula Mae Gibson Evans. She worked at Upson Regional Medical for 15 years in the Enviromental Services Department and was a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Brittaney Lewis, brothers, Billy and David Evans, and sister, Runette Gordy.
Survivors include her daughters, Sherry Gore of Thomaston, Wendy (Marty) Fordham of Thomaston, April (Jed) Plunkett of Covington, Mendy Lewis of Thomaston, son Calvin Shane (Kitty) Lewis of Dahlonega, brothers, Ronnie (Judy) Evans of Pike County, Graylon (Rhonda) Evans of Pike County, Mark (Christian) Evans of Barnesville, sisters, Margie Lewis of Pike County, Betty Jo (Bobby) Loudermilk of Mt. Airy, thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Tuesday April 25, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.
