Emily Nicole Clark, age 19, of Zebulon, gained her Heavenly wings on April 7, 2023.
Emily was born on April 3, 2004, in Thomaston. She was a lifelong resident of Pike County where she attended Pike County High School. Emily was an exceptionally skilled heavy equipment operator with McLeRoy Inc., a job she very much enjoyed.
Emily was smart and savvy. She was a born leader with an outgoing personality. She was never one to meet a stranger. Emily loved listening to music and spending time with her friends. She especially loved being with her family including her Maw Maw, Paw Paw, and beloved nephews. Emily was funny and loved being goofy with her friends. She liked to eat and made sure to enjoy a generous serving of milk and cheese every day. She had a vibrant spirit that lit up every room she entered. She had a heart for service and was known to help others at every opportunity. Even after her passing, Emily’s legacy of love continued as she graciously gave to others the gift of life through organ donation.
Emily was preceded in death by her grandfather, Gary Howell, and great-grandparents: Claudie Bell Clark, Cecil Leon Clark, Reno Gordy, and J.D. Gordy.
She is survived by her proud parents: David (Stephanie) Clark, Melissa Howell and Shannon Howell; brothers and sisters: Andrea Crowley, Brieanna Clark, Brandon Clark, Dakota (Laurel) Gordy, Austin (Alyssa) Gordy, Autumn Howell, Cierra Gordy, Whitney Hall and Jason Hall; grandparents: Wendell Barbara Clark, Shirley Howell and Norma Sheffield; special nephews: Hunter, Colt and Brantley Woods; aunts and uncles: Dearl and Dianne Clark, Lynn and Trish Clark, Becky Clark, Trinity Howell, and Michael Howell; numerous cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, April 15th in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home. Nathan Mixon will officiate with guest speaker Christine Woods. Friends may visit the family beginning at 1 PM at the funeral home.
