Mr. Johnny Lee Hammock, age 86, of Thomaston, died Thursday, August 3, 2023, at his residence.
Mr. Hammock was born on August 31, 1934, in Thomaston, to the late Samuel Napolean Hammock, and the late Effie Mae James Hammock. He was a store owner and an avid golfer and served his country in the U.S. Navy. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Myrle Fulcher Hammock, and brother, Rufus Hammock.
Survivors include his daughter, Denise Hammock of Thomaston, grandchildren, Mikey (Lasha Murphy) Blount, Scotty Blount, great-grandchildren, Aliyah, Alex, Keeli, Noah, and one great-great-grandchild, Kaynin Peaden.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. from Southview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 5, 2023, from 1:00 p.m.- 2:00 p.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.
