Mr. Barfield was born on October 25, 1951, in Thomaston, to the late John Lester "Buster" Barfield Sr., and the late Evelyn Duncan Barfield. He worked as a Plantation Manager at Barksdale Plantation in Cochran, Georgia, and was a member of the NRA. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his daughter, India Barfield of Comer, son, John Lester "Les" (Candi) Barfield III of Dublin, grandchildren, Morgan and Ollie Mae.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Southview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 2, 2023, from 12:00 p.m.- 2:00 p.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.
