Mr. Wilbur Darnell Nix, age 71, of Thomaston, died Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Brightmoor Hospice.
Mr. Nix was born on December 26, 1951, in Thomaston, Georgia to the late Wilbur Travis Nix, and to Mary Louise Baker. He served his country in the US Army and worked many years at the Thomaston Mills. He was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his wife, Margie Taylor Nix.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Louise Baker of Thomaston, daughter, Angela (Steed) Stepp of Thomaston, Tara Nix of North Carolina, sons, Jason Nix of Thomaston, Thomas (Amber) Nix of Thomaston, fourteen, grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. from Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday October 26, 2023, from 12:00 p.m.- 2:00 p.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.
