Helen was born on October 22, 1932, to the late Thomas and Laura Sullivan. She was raised alongside five brothers and six sisters in Upson County where she was a lifelong resident. Helen was wed to Wilbur Elliott and the couple enjoyed farm life in Pike County with their two children. Helen was an excellent cook and loved feeding those around her. She was known to be a little feisty but always respectable. She was prim and proper with her hair and makeup done just right. Helen was a Christian and longtime member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church.
Along with her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Collins Elliott, son, Darrell Keith Elliott, and 11 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Denise and Craig Chambley; grandchildren and their spouses: Laura and Chris Shadrick, Darrell and Mandy Elliott, Dusty and Tiffany Elliott, Chris and Jacinda Elliott; many beloved great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, February 16th in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home. Friends may visit the family beginning at 10 AM at the funeral home. A private family burial will be held at Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Helen’s honor to Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 3366 McKinley Road, Zebulon, GA 30295.
