Mrs. Cato was born on April 29, 1942, to the late Robert Earl Hatchett and Mary Lou Futch Hatchett in Pike County. She retired from Aircraft Spruce and was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church. Mrs. Betty loved playing bingo and doing her word search, puzzle books, along with watching the game show network. She also loved going to baseball and softball games. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Frankie Cato, daughter, Sheila Cato, and three sisters.
Survivors include her son Doug Cato of Jesup, daughter Cindy Cato, of Thomaston, several nieces and nephews, and a host of cousins and special friends survive.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday February 14, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. from Neal Baptist Church Cemetery in Molena. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 13, 2023, from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.
