Annie Lou “Ann” Garner Kempson

Mrs. Annie Lou “Ann” Garner Kempson, age 79, of Concord, passed away February 19, 2023.  Ann grew up in Pike County, daughter of the late Henry Garner and Lila Mae McGahee Garner.  She was a homemaker who loved flowers and enjoyed working in her yard and watching Lifetime movies.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Earl “Bud” Kempson, her son Mike Kempson and her brothers James, David, George and Luther “Bubba” Garner.

 

She is survived by her children: Lynn Ackiss (Luke) of Big Pine Key, FL and Mark Kempson (Sharon) of Concord; grandchildren: Whitney Krieger (Steve), Micah Kempson (Ansley), Justin Kempson (Kaylan), Rachel Ackiss (Teddy) and Sydnee Ackiss; great-grandchildren: Lucas, Makaylynn, Isaac and Oakley; sisters: Helen Sanders and Jenny Wright both of Griffin; many nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 27, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Watson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Friendship Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Concord.

 

Friends may visit the family on Monday, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., at the funeral home.
