Shirley Marie Eubanks Carver

Mrs. Shirley Marie Eubanks Carver, age 78, of Williamson, passed away December 6, 2022, at her home. Shirley was born in Thomaston, daughter of the late John Warrren Eubanks and Nancy Frances Hagans Eubanks. She worked at Walmart in Griffin for 20 years before retiring as a Department Supervisor. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Griffin and loved reading her Bible. She enjoyed visiting with her family, gardening and tractor-pulls. Shirley was sassy, fierce and very protective of the people she loved.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack L. Walker, Sr., her daughter Suzanne Ison, three sisters and seven brothers.

 

She is survived by her husband: Bill Carver; children and their spouses: Jack Walker, Jr., Mike and Ruth Carver, Debbie and Greg Brown and Susan and Jeff MacDonell; grandchildren and their spouses: Crystal and Randy Presley, Jonathan Walker, Christina and Trey Gibbs, Abby, Liberty and Cassidy MacDonell; great-grandchildren: Bradley, Mackenzie and Madison Presley, Elijah and Paisley Walker and Tristen, Gage and Marlie Gibbs; sister: Sarah Lawrence; sister-in-law: Millie Carver; many nieces and nephews.

 

Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, December 7, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the funeral home. 

 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 8, at Noon, in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Cook and Rev. Rocky Stubbs officiating. 

 

Burial will follow in Providence First Baptist Church in Williamson.
