Thelma Patricia Weaver Stubbs

Mrs. Thelma Patricia Weaver Stubbs, 91, of Thomaston, died Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at her residence. Memorial services will be held privately by her family at a later date.

Mrs. Stubbs was born in Thomaston on May 19, 1931, to the late Ernest Lee Weaver and Bessie Kiser Weaver. She was a graduate of R. E. Lee Institute. Mrs. Stubbs was employed as secretary to the principal at R.E. Lee Elementary School, and she was later employed as a medical assistant with Dr. Samuel Brewton until her retirement. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Elbert Stubbs. Survivors include two daughters: Susan (Brad) Buchanan and Michele Boettcher, both of Thomaston; a son, Bill (Kim) Stubbs of Thomaston; five grandchildren: Lindsey (Jon) Herrington, Brett (Abigail) Buchanan, Jared (Brooke) Stubbs, Adam (April) Greene, and Alex Conine; and seven great grandchildren: Hayden Herrington, Parks Herrington, Trace Herrington, Rylan Dean, Jackson Buchanan, Addison Stubbs, and Parker Stubbs.
