Mr. Timothy “Tim” Brian Chapman, Sr., age 69, of Zebulon, passed away November 13, 2023, at his home. He grew up in Barnesville, son of the late Lamar Chapman and Olena Chapman Hendrix. Tim was a truck driver for Old Dominion Freight Line for over 30 years. He was a faithful member of Rock Springs Church in Milner where he served as Deacon. Tim enjoyed camping, cooking, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Tony Chapman and David Chapman and his niece Tina Chapman.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years: Frances Hewlett Chapman; children: Hollie Chapman (Keith Ballard), Brian Chapman (Jennifer) and Brian Mangrum; grandchildren: Kolbey Pritchett, Kruze Ballard, Keith Ballard, Jr. (Lindsey), C. J. Ballard (Jordan), Bryce Ballard (Leah), and Gavin Chapman; sisters and a brother: Sandra Davis, Brenda Sutton (Ernie) and Dr. Sid Chapman; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at 3 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with Dr. Benny Tate officiating. Burial will follow in Moody Memorial Gardens.
Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
