George Chuck Ledbetter

Mr. George Chuck Ledbetter, age 48, of Thomaston, passed away November 23, 2023. Chuck grew up in Thomaston, son of the late Gary Hamilton Ledbetter, Sr. and Doris Ogletree Ledbetter.  He worked in law enforcement for 22 years, in Upson, Lamar, Fayette, and Pike Counties, retiring as the Zebulon Chief of Police. Chuck enjoyed hunting, drag racing and football.  He was a GA Tech fan. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Stacey Gilbert.

 

He is survived by his son: Jake Ledbetter; and his brother: Gary Hamilton Ledbetter, Jr. (Kim).

 

A private family service will be held at a later date.
