Mr. Wiley Amealus Nix age 95, of Thomaston, died, Sunday, September 11, 2022, at his residence.
Mr. Nix was born on August 12, 1927, in Upson County, to the late Dewey Howard Nix, and the late Mary Elizabeth Craven Nix. He served his country in the U.S. Army in World War II, and then went on to work at the Martha Mills as a Supervisor for 40 years. He was a member of The Gathering Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Laverne Chamblin Nix, daughter, Marianne Phagan, sons, Cecil and Eugene Nix, and grandson-in-law, Chris English.
Survivors include his brother, Render Nix of Thomaston, grandchildren, Rodney (April) Phagan of Meansville, Julie Phagan English of Meansville, Chad Johnson of Thomaston, great-grandchildren, Houston Hurt, Hunter English, Jacob Phagan, Nathan Ritch, Carlea Foster, Gabby Johnson, and great-great-grandchild, Weston Hurt.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. from Crystal Hill Cemetery.
