Nancy Ann Wilson Long

Mrs. Nancy Ann Wilson Long, 75, of Greenville, GA, and formerly of Thomaston, died Saturday, September 24, 2022, at Newnan Piedmont Hospital. 

Funeral services for Mrs. Long will be held on Tuesday, September 27, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Dr. Rex King will officiate, and interment will follow in Upson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home.

 

Mrs. Long was born in Thomaston on December 19, 1946, to the late William H. "Doc" Wilson and Eva Mae Singleton Wilson. She retired from Federal Paper Board Company in 2002 with 27 years of service. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, and dancing - especially line dancing, and she was dedicated to her family. Mrs. Long was a former member of Silvertown Baptist Church and Clark's Chapel Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Irma Bailey, and a son-in-law, Angelo Mercurio.

 

Survivors include her husband, Tony Floyd Long of Greenville, GA; one daughter, Marie Mercurio of Peachtree City, GA; a granddaughter, Ashley (Joey) Groveman of Atlanta, GA; two step sons: Michael Long and Jonathan Long, both of Greenville, GA; three step grandchildren: Hunter, Blake, and Daisy Long, all of Greenville, GA; a sister, Linda Wilson Russell of Acton, MA; her mother-in-law, Carolyn Guy of Greenville, GA; and a special sister-in-law, Tonya Collier of Williamson, GA.
