Mr. Ryals was born May 10, 1936, in Thomaston, to the late Frank Ryals and the late Nellie Salter Ryals. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and retired from the Thomaston Post Office. He was a member of East Thomaston Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, James T. Ryals, William Ryals, Franklin Ryals; and sister, Helen McDaniel.
Survivors include his wife Carole June Gossett Ryals of Thomaston; sons, Robby Ryals, Dennis Ryals, Scott Ryals all of Thomaston; grandchildren, Stacey (Clayton) Jones, Justin Ryals, Leslie (Josh) Hockman, Jessica Ryals, and Kel Fletcher; great-grandchildren, Jaxon Basilici, Paiten Basilici, Rowan Basilici, Jon Jones, and Wyatt Hockman.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. from Upson Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Laurence Burge officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Thomaston Gideon Camp, P.O. Box 1034, Thomaston GA 30286.
