Mrs. Ophelia Short Googe age 89 of Thomaston Ga., passed away Monday April 19, 2021 at Upson Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Googe was born on October 27, 1931 in Meriwether County, to the late Albert Short and the late Beula Hogg Short. She was a housewife and a member of the First Pentecostal Church of Thomaston. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Martin Vernon Googe, and 13 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her daughter, Delorese (Tommy) Thompson of Macon, Gloris (Larry) Foster of Thomaston, sons, Pruitt Googe of Shreveport, LA, Glenn (Diane) Googe of Thomaston, six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 2:00 p.m from the First Pentecostal Church of Thomaston. Burial will follow at Upson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 21, 2020 from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m at the First Pentecostal Church of Thomaston.
