Mr. Sammy Carlton Fallin, age 73, of Griffin, passed away January 20, 2024.
Sammy grew up in the Concord and Griffin areas, son of the late John Asa Fallin and Martha Elizabeth Harris Fallin. He served in the United States Army for six years. After being honorably discharged he worked for Bandag and Supreme Corp. in Griffin before becoming a truck driver. He drove for Coastal Transport for 20 years before retiring. Sammy was a God-fearing man who was hard-headed and stubborn but loved by everyone. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John A. Fallin and his former wife, Betty Jean (BJ) Williams.
He is survived by his sons: Carl Lee Fallin (Tiffany), Brian Keith Williams (Deanna) and Asa Lee Fallin (Kim); grandchildren: Joshua Fallin, Cody Fuller, Summer Fuller, Austin Williams, and Chase Williams; sister: Mary Jo Farrell (Frank); brother: Hugh Fallin (Kimberly Cardell); special niece: Taylor Dinkins; and many nieces and nephews.
A private family service was held.
