John Daniel “J. D.” Eubanks

Mr. John Daniel “J. D.” Eubanks, age 73, of Concord, passed away February 7, 2024, at his home.  He was born in Fayetteville, son of the late Chester Eubanks and Dani Betsill Eubanks. J. D. was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Vietnam.  He was an over-the-road million-mile truck driver, loved people and never met a stranger. J. D.  enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren.  

 

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Dean Eubanks and Chester “Junior” Eubanks.

 

He is survived by his wife of 38 years: Catherine Eubanks; children: Jenni Kilby (David) of Pike County, Jody Eubanks of Fayetteville, and Deanna Brady (John Michael) of El Paso, TX; grandchildren: Chase Whitley (Kelci), Autumn Barner (Daniel), Gracen Kilby, Chesney Eubanks, Macie Eubanks, Adalyn Eubanks, Danni Brady, and Molli Brady; great-grandchildren: Leiah Barner and Ellie Whitley; brothers: Wayne Eubanks of Molena and Jerry Eubanks of Rising Fawn; many nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 11, at 3 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Moody Memorial Gardens.

 

Friends may visit the family on Saturday, February 10, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
