Robert McFarlin "Mac" Olive

Mr. Robert McFarlin "Mac" Olive, age 63, of Yatesville, GA, died Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Upson Regional Medical Center.  Funeral services for Mr. Olive will be held Monday, May 6, at 11:00 AM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home.  Rev. David Maguire will officiate, and Interment will follow in Upson Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Sunday evening, May 5, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Mr. Olive was born in Thomaston on May 31, 1960 to the late Robert E. Olive, III and  Ann McFarlin Olive.  He had been employed as a manager by McDonalds, and he had also been employed with Quad Graphics.  Most recently he was employed with Continental Tire Company of North America in Barnesville, GA.  Mr. Olive enjoyed music, watching cooking shows - especially Guy Fieri, and cutting grass.  He also enjoyed the time he spent with the Yatesville Volunteer Fire Department.  Mr. Olive  was a member of Yatesville Baptist Church.

 

Mr. Olive is survived by a daughter, Lauren Olive of Chattanooga, TN; a son, Jeffrey Olive (Jessica) of Woodbury, GA; his mother, Ann McFarlin Olive of Yatesville; a brother, Alan Keith (Wendi) Olive of Yatesville; and two grandchildren: Meredith and Madison Olive, both of Woodbury, GA. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Yatesville Baptist Church.
