Mr. Elmo McKenzie Boyt age 78 of Meansville Ga, passed away Tuesday January 5, 2021 at Upson Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Boyt was born on January 11, 1942 in Yatesville, to the late Elmo Boyt and the late Evelyn Pierson Boyt. He worked at Thomaston Mills and Green Acres and was a member of the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church. Mr. Elmo served his country in the U.S. Marines and the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, sisters, and grandson, Chais Boyt.
Survivors include, his wife, Brenda Boyt of Meansville, daughter, Lori (Jeannie) Boyt of Thomaston, sons, Chris (Cathy) Boyt of Thomaston, Dale (Kayla) Boyt of Thomaston, sister, Jean Hamilton of Barnesville, eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Crystal Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 7, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.
