Mr. Burkett was born August 30, 1951, in Thomaston to Lorene Burkett Thompson and the late Isaac Aldine Burkett. He is a retired MARTA bus driver and of the baptist faith.
He is survived by his daughter, Leslie (Louis) Carter of Marietta; mother, Lorene Thompson of Thomaston; brothers, Gary Burkett of Thomaston and Glenn Burkett of Naples FL; and grandchild, Bradley Carter.
Funeral services for Mr. Burkett will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2020, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Crystal Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 18, 2020 from 1:00 - 2:00 PM at Coggins Funeral Home.
