Mr. John Thomas "J.T." Blount age 82 of Thomaston Ga, died Thursday March 16, 2017 at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin Ga.
Mr. Blount was born on November 17, 1934 in Thomaston Ga, to the late Roger Lawson Blount Sr., and the late Hattie Frances Johnson Blount. He was formerly employed with Mayfield Moving Company where he worked as a truck driver. Mr. Blount attended Thomaston First Assembly of God. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his brothers Mr. Roger L. Blount Jr. of Macon Ga, Mr. Sammy (Voncille) Blount of Thomaston Ga, Mr. Danny Blount of Thomaston Ga, sisters Mrs. Betty Hilton of Thomaston Ga, Mrs. Dorothy (Alfred) Shepard of Warner Robins Ga, Mrs. Catherine Matthews of Thomaston Ga, Mrs. Mary Nunley of Warner Robins Ga, Mrs. Brenda (L.R.) Brock of The Rock Ga.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday March 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Upson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Coggins Funeral Home on Saturday March 18, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
