Mr. Talmadge R. Winkles, age 83, of Thomaston Ga, died Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at Riverside Health and Rehab.
Mr. Winkles, was born June 17, 1933, in Upson County to the late Dewey and Cora Winkles. He retired from Sitezinger Corp, was a member of Silvertown Baptist Church. He retired after 23 years of service in the U.S. Air Force as a Sr Master Sergeant with service in Viet Nam serving on B-52's. He was also a member of the Thomaston Lions Club.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Winkles. Survivors are his son, Bob (Joan) Winkles of Douglasville GA; sister, Jane Bradberry of Gainsville GA; brothers, Frank (Suzanne) Winkles of Tampa FL, and Charles (Charlotte) Winkles of Marietta GA; grandchildren, Sunny Lynn Estes, Aaron Blue Winkles, Patricia Dayle Lightfoot, and Pamela Dawn Beavers; great- grandchildren, Chase Lightfoot, Chandler Lightfoot, Caroline Beavers, Caleb Winkles and Savanah Winkles.
Funeral services for Mr. Winkles will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Southview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 19, 2016, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM At Coggins Funeral Home.
