Mrs. Verlie Smith, age 87, of Thomaston, died Thursday evening at Riverside Health and Rehab. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 7, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Rev. Bill Barber will officiate, and burial will follow in South View Cemetery. The family of Mrs. Smith will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Saturday evening, February 6, from 5 until 7 PM.
