MR. TIMOTHY MARC MANNING

Mr. Timothy Marc Manning, age 43, of Thomaston Ga, died Thursday, September 29, 2016, at Emory University Hospital in Decatur.

He was born July 13, 1973, in Spalding County to the late Louie Everette and Sheryl Manning. He was a road maintenance worker for Upson County.  

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Manning of Thomaston; son, Trenton Shady Manning of Thomaston; sister, Michele (Kenneth "Rooster") McDaniel of Thomaston; nieces and nephew; Larkin McDaniel, Fisher McDaniel and Anna Claire Dean.

Memorial services for Mr. Manning will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016, at 4:00 PM in the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM at Coggins Funeral Home.

MR. JOHN E. FLEMING SR.

Mr. John E. Fleming Sr., age 56, of The Rock, died Friday, September 30, 2016, at the Spalding Regional Medical Center.

Memorial services for Mr. Fleming will be held by the family at a later date.

Dr. Samuel Alton Brewton, Jr. of Thomaston died September 28, 2016, at his residence. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016, 11:00 a.m.at First Baptist Church of Thomaston with Rev. Bill Barber officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Fellowship Hall of the church. Fletcher-Day Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements. Mrs. Ruth H. Hall, age 96, of Thomaston GA, died Thursday, September 29, 2016, at Riverside Health and Rehab. 

Funeral services for Mrs. Hall will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2016, at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home in Thomaston. Graveside services, will be held on Monday, October 3, 2016 at 2:00 PM in Oakridge Cemetery in Tifton GA.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 2, 2016, from 1:30 - 3:00 PM at Coggins Funeral Home.

MRS. JUDY FAYE DANIEL

Mrs. Judy Faye Daniel, age 64, of Thomaston, died Friday, September 16, 2016 at her residence.

She was born November 10, 1952, to the late Willie Futch and Juanita Nixon Futch. She was a Weaver for Thomaston Mills.

Mrs. Daniel is survived by her son, James Peaden of Thomaston; sister, Joann Henly of Thomaston; brothers, Billy Futch, Bobby (Nicky) Futch, Emmett Futch, and Charlie Futch, all of Thomaston; and 1 grandchild.

Memorial services for Mrs. Daniel will be held by her family at a later date.

MR. JOHN B. RAILEY JR.

Mr. John B. Railey Jr., age 84, of Thomaston, died Sunday, September 18, 2016, at his residence. 

He was born April 24, 1932, in Meriwether County to the late John B. and Nannie Arvella Railey Sr. He was founder of Railey's Rebuilding Service and member of Fellowship Baptist Church. 

Mr. Railey is survived by his daughter, Marcia (Robert) Lopez of Carlsbad N.M.; son, Mike (Cindy) Railey of Thomaston; sister, Maudie McBroom of Canton GA; 7 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.


Funeral services for Mr. Railey will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2016, at 2:00 PM at Fellowship Baptist Church, with burial to follow in Upson Memorial Gardens. His family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Coggins Funeral Home.

MR. WILLIAM HAROLD "PEE WEE" SUDDETH

Mr. William Harold "Pee Wee" Suddeth, 79, of Thomaston, died Thursday, September 15, 2016 at his home.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Suddeth will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Hendricks Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Friday from 6 until 8 pm.
Mr. Suddeth was born in the Pleasant Valley Community of Upson County on October 19, 1936, a son of the late William Oscar and Tassie Daniel Suddeth. He was a retired manufacturing technician for the Woodbury Box Company.
Mr. Suddeth enjoyed farming and loved his family.
Mr. Suddeth is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Cecil Harp of Thomaston; three nieces, three nephews and 15 great nieces and nephews.

MASTER DAVIS BARTLEY TUCKER, AGE ONE

Master Davis Bartley Tucker, age 1, of Forsyth GA, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at his residence.

Davis is survived by his parents, Elizabeth and Ryan Tucker of The Rock GA; maternal grandparents, Melanie and David Sandlin; paternal grandparents, Kathy and Rick Tucker; great-grandparents, Bessie Shaw, Carolyn Sandlin, Sylvia Tucker, and Jo Ann Moore; aunt, Amy (Jeremy) Daniel; uncle, Jonathan Sandlin.

Funeral services for Master Tucker will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Thomaston First United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 17, 2016, form 1:00 - 2:00 PM at the Thomaston First United Methodist Church.

MR. FRED AUBREY PITTMAN

Mr. Fred Aubrey Pittman, age 62, of Thomaston Ga, died Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at the Upson Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Pittman was born on March 15, 1954 in Thomaston Ga, to the late Lewis and Mattie Lane Pittman. He was formerly employed with Martha Mills where he worked in the card room for 20 years and later worked with Thomaston Pest Control for 16 years.

Survivors include his wife Mrs. Diane Adams Pittman of Thomaston Ga, son Mr. Shannon Ray (Kristi) Pittman of Thomaston Ga, sister Mrs. Mary P. Chambers of Thomaston Ga.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday September 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crystal Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Coggins Funeral Home on Friday September 16, 2016 from 4-6 p.m.

MR. CURTIS "CURT" FRANKLIN JOHNSON

Mr. Curtis "Curt" Franklin Johnson, age 74, of Thomaston, died Monday, September 12, 2016, at the Upson Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Johnson was born November 26, 1941, in Upson County to the late Curtis D. and Mary Johnson. He was a bank officer with the C&S Bank, home appraiser with Coldwell Banker, avid golfer, and member of the Thomaston First United Methodist Church.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Julie Johnson. Survivors are his wife, Henrietta H. Johnson of Thomaston; son, Jeff Johnson of Orlando FL; sister, Susan (Henry) Harrell of Fernandia Beach FL; grandchildren, Kaley Johnson, Jacob Johnson, Dixie Johnson, and Lucus Johnson; great-grandchild, Alexandria Santiago.
  
Memorial services for Mr. Johnson will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2016, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 14, 2016, from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at Coggins Funeral Home.

Mr. Steve Gregory Hammonds, 64, of Thomaston died Saturday, September 3, at Brightmoor Hospice in Griffin. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning, September 6, at 11:00 AM at the Yatesville Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the New Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home Monday evening from 6 until 8 PM. Fletcher-Day Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements. 

MRS. SYDNEY GERALDINE FOUNTAIN

Mrs. Sydney Geraldine Fountain, age 80, of Thomaston, died Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at the Upson Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Fountain, was born February 18, 1936, in Upson County to the late Otis Paul and Ruby Mae Forehand. She retired from the Thomaston Telephone Company.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Fountain of Thomaston; daughters, Karen Harris and Cindy (Russ) McGee both of Thomaston; sons, Lee (Wanda) Fountain and Jason Fountain both of Thomaston; grandchildren, Wayne Lowry, Kelly Lowry, Jenna Hutchens, Kayla M. Thompson, Kyle McGee, and Leann Odom, Shane Fountain, Kason Fountain, and Paige Faultman; and 14 Great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Fountain will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2016, at 11AM in the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Southview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 8, 2016, from 9:30 - 11:00 AM at Coggins Funeral Home.

Mrs. Mary Owen Blount, age 64, of Thomaston, died Friday, September 2, 2016, at her residence.

Mrs. Blount, was born February 18, 1952 in Carrollton GA. She was a baker and cook.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary B. Blount of Thomaston, Cora Beverly of Thomaston, and Christina (Scotty) Dover of Thomaston; son, Robert Blount of Thomaston, 4 brothers; 4 sisters; 8 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services for Mrs. Blount will be held by the family at a later date.

MRS. GLENDINE YOUNG OWENS FULLER

Mrs. Glendine Young Owens Fuller age 88 of Thomaston Ga, died Thursday September 1, 2016 at Providence Health and Rehab.

Mrs. Fuller was born on December 18, 1927 in Woodbury Ga, to the late Ollie and Lillian Young Brown. She was formerly employed with Thomaston Mills Peerless Division where she worked for many years and later became a homemaker. Mrs. Fuller was a member of Elkins Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband George Oscar Fuller Jr., son George Ronald Fuller, brothers Ollie Glen "Jim" Brown Jr., Terry Dale Brown.

Survivors include her daughters Mrs. Janet (Bobby) Salter of Thomaston Ga, Mrs. Brenda Maddox of Thomaston Ga, Mrs. Vicki (Daniel) Smith of Manchester Ga, sons Mr. Bryant Fuller of Thomaston Ga, Mr. Ricky (Lynn) Fuller of Thomaston Ga, sisters Mrs. Gloria Brown Crews of Manchester Ga, Mrs. Melissa Brown McInvale of Manchester Ga, sister in laws Mrs. Christine Stephens of Macon Ga, Mrs. Ann Craven of Thomaston Ga, 9 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren, 5 Great Great Grandchildren several nieces and nephews that she took under her wings also survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday September 4, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. from Elkins Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Coggins Funeral Home on Saturday September 3, 2016 from 6-8 p.m.
