Mr. Mountain A. Greene, retired Upson County Sheriff and retired Georgia State Patrol Captain, died Thursday, October 29th, 2015 at his home in Thomaston.
Arrangements are pending and will be announced later by Fletcher-Day Funeral Home.

MISS OZELLE ELEANOR GORDY

Miss Ozelle Eleanor Gordy, 79, of Thomaston, died Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Upson Regional Medical Center. Funeral services for Miss Gordy will be held on Friday, October 30th, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Fletcher-Day Funeral Home with Dr. Rex King and Rev. Tim South officiating. Burial will follow in the New Bethel Church Cemetery.
The family of Miss Gordy will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
Miss Gordy was born in Pike County on July 9th, 1936, a daughter of the late Byron Barnard Gordy and Bessie Stribling Gordy. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Elkins Creek Baptist Church.
Miss Gordy is survived by a son, Mickey Gordy of Thomaston; a sister, Elaine Nordan of Thomaston; four brothers, David (Donna) Gordy, Joe (Faye) Gordy and Cyrus Gordy, all of Thomaston, and Bobbie Gordy of Griffin; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Miss Gordy was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Hall, and three brothers, Buford Gordy, Jack Gordy and Raymond Gordy.

MR. BILLY EMMETT MERRILL

Mr. Billy Emmett Merrill, age 61, of Thomaston died Monday, October 19, 2015 at his residence.
 
Mr. Merrill was born on June 25, 1954 in Thomaston to the late James and Bonnie Mae Merrill. He was a master sheet metal mechanic, and member of Northridge Baptist Church.
 
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Merrill; daughters, Angel Merrill of Thomaston, and Stacey (Terry) Raybon of Thomaston; sons, Chancy Merrill of Thomaston, Gabriel Allen Merrill of Alabama, John Brown of Thomaston, and Jesse James of Thomaston; sister, Martha "Sissy" Mills of Thomaston; brother, Paul Merrill of Thomaston; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
 
Memorial services for Mr. Merrill will be announced at a later date.

Ms. Jane Childs Crawford, age 55, of Thomaston, died Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at her residence.
 
Ms. Crawford was born on June 24, 1960 in Upson County to the late Jack Eugen  and Joyce Childs Crawford. She taught Adult Education and was in charge of the Tutoring Program at Southern Crescent Technical College, and a member of Thomaston First Methodist Church. 
 
Survivors are her brother, Ronald (Terri) Crawford of Thomaston; and several nieces and nephews.
 
Memorial services for Ms. Crawford will be held on Friday, October 16, 2015 at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 16, 2015 from 3:00 - 4:00 pm at Coggins Funeral home.
 
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donation be made to the Thomaston First Methodist Church Youth Ministry, 132 Cherokee Rd, Thomaston GA 30286.

Mrs. Opalene Yates Woodson, 86, of Peachtree City and formerly of Thomaston, died Sunday, October 11, 2015, at Ashley Glen Assisted Living Facility In Peachtree City.
Funeral services for Mrs. Woodson will be held on Tuesday, October 13th, 2015 at 3 pm at the First United Methodist Church in Thomaston with the Rev. Herb Flanders officiating. Burial will follow in South View Cemetery. The family of Mrs. Woodson will receive friends at the First United Methodist Church Social Hall on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM.

Mr. Freddie Wayne Crane, age 59 of Thomaston died on Wednesday, September 30, 2015.
 
Mr. Crane was born in Thomaston to the late Grover Furman and Emma Lee Crane. He was a Greens keeper at The Cedars Golf Course in Zebulon, and attended New Life Pentecostal Holiness Church.
 
Survivors include his wife, Janell Crane of Meansville; son, Frank (Kathy) Yates of Milledgeville; sisters, Lindie (Buddy) Morris of The Rock, Mary (Roger) Young of The Rock, and Janie Wright of Chatsworth GA; and grandchildren Kevin and Chelsea Yates.  
 
Funeral services for Mr. Crane will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Crystal Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Coggins Funeral Home one hour prior to the service.
