Mr. Howard Mitchell, age 65, of Thomaston, died Saturday Aopril4,2015 at the Upson Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Connie Harper, age 67, of Thomaston, died Friday April 3rd at Piedmont Newnan Hospital in Newnan.

Mrs. Rebecca Sue Akins

Mrs. Rebecca Sue Akins, 63, of Thomaston, died Thursday, April 2nd. 

Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced later by Fletcher-Day Funeral Home.

Mr. Robert Francis Hardman Sr.

Mr. Robert Francis Hardman Sr. age 83 of Thomaston Ga, died Thursday April 2nd at Upson Regional Medical Center. 

Mr. Hardman was born on August 29, 1931 in Buffalo New York to the late Orville and Margaret Hardman Purvis. He was formerly employed with Warner Robins Air Force Base where he worked as an inspector for many years. Mr. Hardman served his country in the U.S. Army and later served his country in the U.S. Air Force until his retirement. He was a member of Swift Creek United Methodist Church. Mr. Hardman was preceded in death by his son Donnie Hardman.


Survivors include his wife Mrs. Miriam Hardman of Thomaston; daughter Mrs. Robin (David) Heath of Cochran; sons Mr. Robert (Hilda) Hardman Jr. of Thomaston; Mr. Ronnie (Alice) Hardman of Kathleen; sister Mrs. Joyce (Bill) Dickens of Trunamsburg, New York; grandchildren Brandy(Gilbert) Montano, Jonathan Heath, Lindsay Hardman, great grandchildren Aden Brown, Sai Brown, Reverie Hardman, Caiah Montano, Isaiah Montano, Cade Montano.


Funeral Services will be held on Monday April 6th at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Milner Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Coggins Funeral Home on Monday April 6th from 12-2 p.m.


Coggins Funeral Home is in charge of arraignments.

Mr. James Wayne Smith

Mr. James Wayne Smith, age 67, of Thomaston died Monday March 30th at the Upson Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Smith was born on February 5, 1948 in Zebulon, Georgia to the late Billie and Vivian Smith. He was formerly employed with Cooper Standard where he worked as an engineer. Mr. Smith served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Mrs. Kathy Smith of Thomaston; daughter Mrs. Sonya (John) Weeks of Thomaston; son Mr. Jeffrey Wayne Smith of Thomaston; sisters Mrs. Alice Faye Barfield of Thomaston; Mrs. Sandra Elaine Smith of Thomaston; grandchildren Kaylee Smith, Austin Weeks and Hunter Weeks.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday April 3rd at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crystal Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Coggins Funeral Home on Thursday April 2nd from 5-8 p.m.


Coggins Funeral Home is in charge of arraignments.
